Santa’s magic crew of flying reindeer are certainly famous, and Rudolf, with his nose that shines through the storm, is the most famous reindeer of all. But even the non-famous reindeer who roam the northern regions are pretty darn amazing. Each individual fur of their dense coats is hollow to provide insulation, and their hooves change texture from winter to summer to provide traction in both snow and swamp. Magic is where you find it.

Deck the hall. Bring the outdoors in, and fill the house with the scent of pine or juniper. Put treasures on display that have been hidden away in boxes or create something new that will add a touch of cheer. Or just light a single candle and bask in its glow.
What holiday traditions make you feel festive?
Whether someone has done it for you or you did it yourself, it’s much nicer to come home at night to the welcome of a lamp rather than having to poke around in the darkness. Even a little light says “Welcome home. We didn’t forget you.”
