How have you managed to create beauty in an inhospitable environment?
Folks in the US celebrate the 4th of July as Independence Day, the day that marks the independence of the colonies from England. But many people celebrate very different independence days, such as the anniversary of their independence from alcohol or drugs.
What do you celebrate your independence from?

The loveliest paths to walk can be those that are neither in the full hot sun nor in the dark shade of dense cover, but rather in the shimmering sunlight that filters through many leaves. A flash of white hot insight can be amazing, but mostly we come to understand the world in in bits and snatches, filtered through our daily experiences of the world.
