We have all known that moment of elation when we manage something brilliant and precarious. We have also all known the squint-eyed patience of being the one who holds up the person who gets all the admiration for their fancy tricks.
What does success look like for you today?
A snowman is the most fragile of beings, whose lifespan literally changes with the weather. But this guy seems to be welcoming whatever comes with open arms.
How do you welcome what you can’t control?
On the one hand we are called to play the Good Samaritan on life’s roadside; but that will be only an initial act. One day we must come to see that the whole Jericho road must be transformed so that men and women will not be constantly beaten and robbed as they make their journey on life’s highway.

What will you do on this day of action to transform the road that destines so many to injustice?
There’s always someone who catches on first, takes the lead, makes the clever connections that lead to change. We admire those people, but there’s also something to admire about the ones who ripen more gradually, who hang in with something new as long as it takes for the idea to ripen.
