Ice-covered trees are in a precarious state, the living embodiment of the phrase “shatteringly beautiful.” If you are feeling brittle today, may you find a way to see your own beauty as you wait for the time of thaw.
What keeps you going during your times of fragility?
If fragility overcomes me, I believe that I combine two methods to try to accommodate to the feeling: (1) rest and relaxation and (2) thoughtfulness. Felling fragile can turn into stress quickly and that stress serves no practical purpose; in fact, it exacerbates it. Using rest, then accompanied by thinking through what the next step will be and why I expect to pursue it, seems to take me to a place of comfort and a hopeful resolution.
