Out of the billions and billions of objects in the known universe, the sun is our star, the moon is our rock.
I have an ammonite fossil on my desk. I could be as old as 400 million years old. I look at that to remind me of how long life has been on this planet and that I am a part of that story, if only a tiny part of it. It keeps things in perspective when I am going through a bad day, week or month.
