“Talk to me about the truth of religion and I’ll listen gladly. Talk to me about the duty of religion and I’ll listen submissively. But don’t come talking to me about the consolations of religion or I shall suspect that you don’t understand.”
― C.S. Lewis
How—if at all—does your religion help you to grapple with grief?
Grief strikes me whether related to my religious relief or not; I’ve learned to sort out my responses on a basis of the depth of a grief and as well as its immediacy. I believe that sudden, unexpected events can trigger feelings of shock as well as a sense of not being able to process what has happened.
