Reaching Out

“One of the most important things you can do on this earth is to let people know they are not alone.”
―Shannon L. Alder

We have within the fold of our fellowship a woman who, not a member, has felt the need to rely on our help and compassion. She, diabetic, has lost one leg and now, another. She will have to learn to use both prostheses. I visited her in the hospital two days ago ” just because” I thought she needed someone to be there. It was true; even though a long time friend and her adult daughter were with her, and the physical therapists came and went, I stayed and took something special to her and we talked and did some chattering and laughing. It helped me and I believe, also relieved her.
