Chanukah

Chanukah celebrates the ultimate gift: the light that lasts, the realization of hope so improbable it can only be called faith.

When has your improbable hope turned out to be justified?

  1. In my earlier years, I was naïve to the fact that many Black children were living their lives in a different way than I, a White child, was. With the help of those who helped us recognize this fact, I have been able to understand more fully the differences. Now, even with some guilt, I feel ready to help in solving the situation. When I see Black and White kids as friends, joking together as they walk home after the school day, I get an extra boost to what my job is.
