On Porpoise

The dolphin’s gleeful smile is just a feature of its anatomy, but as far as we can tell their amazing above-water acrobatics are something they do for fun, just because they can. Play is just part of their “porpoise” in life.

How do you play?

  1. Right now I have two ways to play: (1) I make corny, silly comments about something in a conversation or something apparent in the environment and expect others to laugh too (sometimes I’m successful and if not, I explain my silliness!… perhaps boring to others but I get a kick out of it. (2) during Tai Chi, since it’s both physical and mental, I often get a silly idea from one of the movements or mental imagery and I chuckle to myself.
