Coming Out Day

National Coming Out Day was envisioned as a way for LGBT folk to “take the next step” in being open in expressing the truth of their identity. But we all have ways we hide, and we all have ways we could take the next step in being vulnerable enough to tell our personal truth.

What would you like us to know about you?

  1. Being “an artist” is a moniker that is often bandied around. I have been trained in formal academia as far as both technique and philosophical belief about “what is art”. In addition to others knowing of my background, and viewing my graphic art pieces, they call me by this vocation much of the time. I am a timid artist in this respect and although I am pleased when so recognized, I feel that there is much more of me in other interests too. It is a dilemma that I probably won’t be able to solve, nor am I sure that I want to.
