Someone Else’s Shoes

We’ve all been warned not to judge a person until we’ve walked a mile in their shoes. It’s a good reminder to have empathy for others who may be managing hardships we’ve never imagined. It’s also possible that their shoes are utterly fabulous, of a shape and color that we never would have thought to try.

What have you learned to delight in by trying it someone else’s way?

  1. New dishes prepared by a young Nigerian student in my acquaintance have usually (but not always) delighted me, Those that are too spicy send me into a tizzy!? However, one, whose name escapes me, is delicious: it is flat flour thin pancakes with alternating layers of tomatoes, garlic, onions and meat that can be folded over and eaten in hand or with knife and fork. I wish I could remember the name of this delight because I think you would like it too and I bet there is a recipe for it on the Internet.
