I wondered if I should spend money I hadn’t planned on spending to make a quick overnight air trip to be with family, meeting many of them for the first time, at the time of the unexpected death of my cousin. It was a wonderfully revealing, satisfying, gratifying moment for me to be with them during the four hour event: the travel to and from and the change in obligations back home were inconsequential. I am extremely happy that I made the trip even with our collective loss of Jean.
