  1. Living on the Gulf Coast, just about the only thing summer invites my soul to do is stay indoors as much as possible and work on whatever book project I’ve got going. Oct. through April is the time I want to be outdoors.

    Visually I enjoy summer vistas wherever I find myself. Seeing that nature renews itself in such glorious ways encourages me to realize that life goes on and on even though bad things happen to good people.
