The Best Capital

“Simple, genuine goodness is the best capital to found the business of this life upon. It lasts when fame and money fail, and is the only riches we can take out of this world with us.” ―Louisa May Alcott

How do you invest in the expression of goodness?

  1. This makes me wish I could have known Louisa! Yes, I believe she is right. I have recently (naively perhaps) thought that maybe the way to get us out of our current governmental mess would be for each of us to double or triple our efforts to help out at some place and in some way those who are being denied the assistance they need that the government will not likely be providing. I remember when visiting an elderly friend in England years ago that she was a product of the WW2 era as a stay at home daughter who later spent a lot of her time voluntarily visiting and assisting war veterans. One on one help is sometimes the best gift of all.

  2. One thing I do every morning is go to The Good News Network, e-zine that publishes only upbeat stories, and read about people doing good in this world. I share the best ones on Facebook.
