A Green Thumb

Some people, we say, have “a green thumb,” a way with nurturing plants, while others do not. It turns out that mostly what it takes to have a green thumb is the willingness to put in the effort, the dedication to learn what each plant needs and then provide it.

What do people see you as gifted at because you care enough about it to do it well?

  1. I “do” handmade posters! I’ve done them since undergrad days at the sorority house, sometimes getting down on the floor in the dorm area and working at midnight! I took an art course on composing posters and another on lettering and I’m pretty cognizant of composition, etc. I like doing it. However, the modern way of composing is not my strong ability and I am very likely outnumbered by those who can sit at the keyboard and produce a spectacular multi-featured designed “professional” poster. So be it! I’ll do the hand lettered kind whenever needed.
