What could be more romantic than the view from a hot air balloon, floating as the breeze will take you through the dawn sky? Of course, the beauty and romance of a hot air balloon is exactly its inconvenience—you have no rudder, no wings, no control over what direction you will go.
What is the best thing that has happened to you because you ended up somewhere you didn’t intend to go?
Finding a wonderful unexpected pleasure instead of going to something that was planned is an essential part of my life! Because of this, I can hardly remember a particular instance when I couldn’t do what was planned but substituted another opportunity. Whether traveling overseas, or in a new city in the States I have so often done something different that I only remember the activity that I substituted for the other. I suppose that the main one that I think of as a recurrent one is that if an art gallery is closed or I am unable to locate it, I just find another and have a wonderful, stupendous afternoon on my own finding a new, different, exciting one.
My best friend and I found a very affordable apartment in a pleasant town along the main street (bus stops a block away) two bedrooms and a small living room on the 2nd floor while getting lost looking for a different apartment.
Sometimes we call that “Good Luck”, don’t we?
