Walking Out of Prison

―Nelson Mandela

How have you walked out from bitterness and hatred?

  1. I seem to rarely feel bitterness and hatred to the extreme: rather I experience unhappiness about some situation or activity that I find deplorable, tragic or horrendous. For instance the treatment of females in certain countries that causes physical harm, enslavement, or in other ways demeans them as human beings is horrible, I believe. I can speak out against it to others, contribute to causes that may alleviate them ultimately or use other means that would directly bring a woman out of these conditions. It is a slow, laborious process, I believe, to change these sad and evil problems in the world.
