When have you found beauty or new life in the midst of destruction?

With a tendency to plunge ahead sometimes and with new purchases or with gifts that I receive, I place them in the midst of daily papers or in other sites where I expect to find them or in a to-do spot. Of course, in those times, I often lose track of these items. It may literally years later when, finally, sorting, I find a treasure that I see now more vividly than before and am able to place it at last in my daily life locations so that I can finally enjoy them. Sometimes this makes them more beautiful to me that at the time I brought them home!
