A Single Bluebird

Bluebird of Happiness“A [person’s] interest in a single bluebird is worth more than a complete but dry list of the fauna and flora of a town.”  Henry David Thoreau

  1. Leaves are precious to me. I sometimes enjoy looking at the leaves of a plant or tree more than at the flowers. They have such a variety of form and are crucial to the overall growth of the plant or tree. I once took a Botany course to learn about the various leaf formations so that, as an art teacher, I could help the students see the intricacy and variety in leaves. I even pick up dried leaves and decorate my home with them.
