Be Like a Bird

RestingPlaceBe like the bird who, pausing in her flight awhile on boughs too slight, feels them give way beneath her, and yet sings, knowing she hath wings.

What gives you a sense of security that allows you rest in precarious places?

  1. Friends who understand me and accept me as I am are that which I count on for support when (1) I do something that I think is silly but fun that some others would think is childish and immature (2) when in time of illness I get support from them (3) when I find myself in an emergency situation, not terribly serious, but a time when I feel vulnerable and want comfort (4) when I know that the fellowship of UUs is there on Sunday morning to join myself with in body and spirit and also getting insight from provocative PBS or MHZ TV channels about a current controversy; reading a book or article that helps me solve a problem I may have or gives me a moment of beauty or listening to an inspiring piece of classic music which soars and wanders here and there. Many ways, various times, supportive, all.
