Dancing Through Doorways

We are dancing through each other as doorways.

How do you serve as a doorway to someone else’s transformation?

  1. perhaps by acting as a reflective mirror and catalyst. also as a friend through whom the other can see themselves through my eyes and smile.

  2. I have a friend who is HIV positive. It has, of course, changed her life. She copes pretty well and has recently chosen to become a very active social action worker. I admire her in many ways. She chooses to be car-less and so since she plans her days accordingly and uses buses most of the time, we usually have a time during each week when we get together to do errands, choose an interesting place to visit or grab a snack. She inherited a low self esteem from her out-of-state family and I think that my support and compliments about certain attributes that she has help her see herself in a more positive way.
