The Life Inside

WinterBarnFrom the outside, all is cold, pristine, untouched. But inside the barn is full of the warm breath of cows, the smell of manure, the sound of animals rustling and chewing. Not so pristine, but very much alive.

Where is life and growth hiding for you, in all its complex messiness?

  1. Growth in developing equal and dignified relationships among people in our nation did not always exist earlier. Now, when I see two people of different cultures or color really enjoying each other’s company, it makes my heart glad. We still have a long way to go in the US of A (as Pogo said) to really feel and recognize that we are equal partners in this life together but little by little, (inch by inch…. a song), we are making it grow, I think. Sometimes it’s just a smile between a black person and white person who are both shopping for groceries but it works to make us each know that we have a lot in common and it makes us both feel happier, I believe.
