Invisible Friend

Waiting on BenchApparently this dog has an invisible friend sitting with him on the bench. There’s a lot to be said for an invisible friend who will listen to everything you have to say—even if you’re a dog.

Who do you talk to when there is no one around?

  1. Well. yes, I guess I do “talk ” to someone or something when I’m alone or am even non-communicative when I’m with someone else. Thoughts flow through one’s mind almost continually. The reason I mention being “non communicative” even in company of others is that I realize that I am sizing up a situation when I’m with someone who is apparently trying to get he/his thoughts assembled to get them out. I have friends who have Parkinson’s disease (as they call it) and one symptom is a hesitation for them in having their brain functions get a response of their thoughts out. I have learned to sit and wait a good while sometimes until that happens, and sometimes it doesn’t. What frustration that must be for someone who tries so hard to express a thought but can’t or needs a long time to get it together. They are essentially trying to talk to themselves before talking to others.
