Perhaps owls have become a symbol of wisdom because they not only have large eyes, they can also swivel their head 360 degrees to see everything around them. There’s a lot to be said for the insight that comes from being able to see from all perspectives, and for keeping your eyes open wide.
What helps you to keep “wide eyes” and a receptive heart?
In reality, owls can turn their heads only a maximum of about 270 degrees, not 360 degrees. That feat is limited to special effects in the movies.
Having said that, there is a definite advantage to being able to watch one’s own back!

Difficult as it is to perceive something from different perspectives, in order for a successful outcome to a project, let’s say, is to first of all HEAR different ideas and/or viewpoints and then to DISCUSS rationally but with conviction and lastly to understand that COMPROMISE is the inevitable outcome.
