An Empty Hall

LongHallwayIn a few hours this empty school hallway will be utterly transformed, full to bursting with young life. The fact that it’s quiet doesn’t mean it isn’t useful, just that it’s waiting.

What have you learned during a time in your life when things felt empty or without purpose?

One thought on “An Empty Hall”

  1. An empty and desolate feeling can arise, in my opinion, when a person dear to me has died even though, in many cases, the death was a result of a long illness or the aging process, I have always had to adjust my thinking to the fact that the person was no longer here with me except in memory. Time takes care of the empty, desolate feeling and then the pleasant times remembered are a gift to retain.
