Sure, no one has the right to tell you to smile if you don’t feel like it. But don’t think you have to hide your braces or your false teeth or your tooth gaps or your goofiness even when there isn’t really that much to smile about. It’s OK. We’re happy to see you grin.
What makes you smile?
Babies. Babies make me smile. And my favorite thing in the whole wide world to do is to entice a baby to smile. Usually with peek-a-boo or making goofy faces. It’s wonderful to encounter a baby who is so naturally happy and social that all they need to make them smile is eye contact!
Stand up comics. I was watching Patton Oswalt’s Finest Hour last night. I was laughing so hard it hurt!
